Dr. Nellie McCaslin
August 29, 1914 – February 28, 2005

Dr. McCaslin pioneered the field of creative drama and youth theatre as an author, teacher, mentor, and performer. Her influence on American culture through her own actions and those she inspired demonstrates the power of individuals to make a difference in the world. Though a tiny, gentle woman, Ms. McCaslin set much of the direction for creative drama in the larger world and, especially, here at Ferrum College.
